Pony racing comes to the Piedmont Pt to Pt for the first year in some time! These races will follow general rules for Virginia, no pre-qualifications except ponies must be at least 5 years of age (no stallions) and all must measure in their division. Unfit entries (p-ponies and/or riders) not prepared enough to race or deemed dangerous to the field, crowd, officials, or themselves at any time will be excused from the running of the race or prohibited from entering (if deemed not a good candidate prior to entries).

All entries must have safety stirrups, neck straps, over girths and riders must have a signed release by a parent, as well as wear an approved helmet and safety vest.

Small Pony Flat- 1/4 mile
Medium Pony Flat- 3/8 mile
Large Pony Flat- 3/8 mile
